2018 NCSU Soil Judging Team
The NC State soil judging team placed 3rd overall in the SE regional competition held at Western Kentucky University. A total of 79 students representing 12 collegiate teams participated in the event from October 15-18, 2018. The NC State team consisted of Curtis Murphy (4th place), Betsy Murphy (8th place), Reuben Wilson (13th place), Kurt Wedegaether, Avery Payne, Jeremy McAdams, and Dr. Matthew Ricker (coach). The team has qualified for the national soil judging competition, which will be held in the spring at California Polytechnic State University – San Luis Obispo.
